Crafting: polymer clay

I’m at the moment a little bit bewildered, as I required to do this article as a follow up to the final one on polymer clay, but it turns out I did not write that 1, in spite of me remembering the put up. Very well, just visualize that you read the initially aspect of this publish 4 months ago or so.
Getting observed attractive shit on social media, I made the decision to do some polymer clay jewelry. I did a large amount of it as a child/ younger teenager, but the model back again then was quite various. I noticed some tutorial on youtube and made a decision to go for a calaidoscope cane.

Now, whilst I liked the success, I didn’t like two matters: One, it’s pretty material intense. That was easily 10 bucks truly worth in polymer clay and if you fuck up which is it.
Two: You conclude up with loads of the exact same. I can understand why there’s a ton of small organizations producing polymer clay jewelry: You can really build points within a reasonable time in a way you just cannot do with beads. But I’m just producing things for myself and mates and family members, so I don’t want 50 parts with the exact same sample.
So I believed: This was nice, but I’m not likely to do significantly extra of it. Well, I must have recognised I was improper. Of system I did. I figured out different tactics (I’m continue to finding out, they are not coming out really as planned however) where by you can use scaled-down amounts of clay and conclude up with a couple of pieces, not a complete drawer total.

The great point about possessing could hobbies is that I have many tools, so I utilised my silicone moulds for the scraps. Even though I enjoy my massive earrings, my ears sometimes value small studs.

This is one more method wherever you address the clay items in mica powder. Once again, I’m happily stocked in that certain place and I really like the benefits. Now to my favorite pieces from that collection:

I’m just in appreciate with them. The charms (yet again, yay for possessing tons of craft materials) do the job just perfect.
The subsequent pieces are from the similar batch, only that I experienced to roll the clay far more thinly and it turned into a full diverse affair:

The influence became much more like marble, with the colors mixing a lot more. Again, loads of wonderful, light-weight studs. I feel I could do with a next pair of ears.
