LCISD university student Kylee Acree’s artwork won 1st place in the Texas Affiliation of Pupil Transportation’s Division a person group.




Each 12 months, the Texas Association of Pupil Transportation (TAPT) Summer time Conference retains a Bus Safety Art Contest for Texas faculty-age pupils.

For the 3rd 12 months in a row, LCISD Transportation submitted three items full in Division one for kindergarten by way of next quality, Division 3 for grades 6 by means of 8 and Division four for Distinctive Training grades K-12.

The voting procedure to determine winners commenced with the regional chapter of the TAPT and then advanced more from there.

“Artwork is submitted to the community Gulf Coastline Affiliation of Pupil Transportation (GCAPT) chapter of TAPT,” the LCISD Transportation Functions Supervisor, April Nemec, described. “Only compensated customers of the GCAPT chapter are allowed to vote. The winners are then taken to the point out convention and contend from the other 14 chapters’ submissions. Voting is completed at the TAPT convention by compensated associates.

All 3 LCISD university student artists that participated superior and won initially spot at the state level.

Division one’s very first-position winner was Kylee Acree, Division three’s very first-position winner was Angel Miranda and Division four’s 1st-put winner was Evelyn Cabrera.

“The Most effective in Exhibit winner will receive a $500 award,” Ms. Nemec described. “The remaining first location winners in divisions 1-4 receive a $250 award, 2nd place a $100 award and 3rd area will obtain a $50 award.”

Now that the primary posters have received point out, they will progress to nationals.

“Because the authentic poster has won first position in their respective divisions, they will shift on to the Nation Level of competition and we will not get them again having said that, we do have copies and we will body and display [them] proudly in the LCISD transportation terminals,” Ms. Nemec stated.
